Info/Contact

  • Foreign Guide Dogs have permission to enter Iceland!
  • The Guide Dogs must therefore go to 28 days long quarnteen. Icelandic authorities do not and will not make any excemptions on this. Every animal must go to 28 day quarnteen.
  • Applications for Guide Dogs can be found on the website for The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority. Their website is www.mast.is and the application itself can be found here: http://mast.is/Uploads/document/eydublod/Innflutningur/vottord_hundur.pdf
  • Competitors in the European Championship must bring their own Guide Dogs. They cannot rent or borrow Icelandic Guide Dogs because they are too few in Iceland and already occupied.
  • For further information about Guide Dogs in Iceland go to http://www.sjavarutvegsraduneyti.is/ or contact Björn Steinbjörnsson, vetenarian with The Icelandic Food and Veterinary, in phone number: +354 530 4800.
